Logging in to Alternate Metaverse with Firestorm and Singularity Viewers

When you open Firestorm you'll be at the login page. In the upper left is the word "Viewer" Click that and it brings you to Preferences. In Preferences go to the "Opensim" button on the left side menu. Then on the right you'll see a tab named "Grid Manager".
In the Grid Manager you can add a new grid address called a URI. In the white box type "http://alternatemetaverse.com:8002" and click the Apply button to the right. This will add Alternate Metaverse Grid to your Firestorm Viewer. Click OK at the bottom of that preferences window.
At this point you should see a Grid dropdown list below where you enter your name into the Firestorm viewer. Select "Alternate Metaverse", then enter your avatar name and password and press the Log In button to the right.
NOTE: If you do not see the Grid dropdown list on the Firestorm viewer (below where you enter your avatar name), go back to "Viewer" and then "Preferences" in the upper left corner of the viewer. Select the "Advanced" button on the left menu. On the right side, second line from the top it says "Allow login to other grids". Put a check in the box next to that line, then click the OK button at the bottom of the preferences window.
You should now see the Grid dropdown list at the bottom of your Firestorm viewer and you are ready to Log In.

Logging in with Singularity (version 8338) We recommend this version at this time. Get it here - http://www.singularityviewer.org/downloads
Go to the top left of the Singularity Viewer login screen. Click "Edit" on the menu. Then click "Preferences". Press the Grids button on the left side of the Preferences menu. On the right side of the Preferences window is the "Create" button. Type "http://alternatemetaverse.com:8002" into the space next to Login URI. Press the "Refresh Grid URLs" button. Press "Apply" at the bottom of the Preferences window then click "OK"
Login on the Singularity viewer by selecting "Alternate Metaverse" from the "Grid or Login URI" at the bottom of the screen, then add your avatar name and password, Next, press the "Log In" button to the right.
